How does this differ from traditional barcodes?
Barcodes usually hold a static string of numbers requiring specialized scanners and local databases to interpret. Our QR codes are natively understood by all modern smartphones and securely route the user to cloud-based inventory profiles or web apps.
Can I engrave these on metal tags?
Yes. In industrial settings, paper stickers degrade. You can download the high-resolution vector SVG of your QR code and use it for laser engraving on metal plates, ensuring it lasts as long as your equipment.
Can I update the URL the tag points to later?
Absolutely. That is the core feature of our platform. If you change your inventory software from Airtable to Salesforce, you simply log into LifetimeQR and update the destination URLs for your tags. The physical tags on the machines don't need to be replaced.
Do you offer an API for bulk updates?
Yes. For managing hundreds or thousands of assets, our REST API allows your internal systems to programmatically create tags and update their destinations instantly.
