For charities, churches, schools and fundraisers

Donation QR Code for Nonprofits, Churches and Fundraisers

A donation QR code opens your donation page when someone scans it with their phone. The money goes through your own giving platform. We provide the code and the link behind it, and you can change where it points after the banner or box is printed.

Before you buy

  • One-off flyer, link will not change: a free static code is enough.
  • Banners, boxes and bulletins that stay in use: $49 once per code, and you can repoint it.

How to make a donation QR code

  1. 1

Start from a donation page that works on a phone

The code opens a web page, so the page has to be ready first. Use the donation page from your payment or giving platform, and open it on a phone before you print anything.

  2. 2

Make a code that points to it

Create a Website URL code and paste the donation page address as the destination.

  3. 3

Print it where people are already giving

Collection boxes, banners, bulletins, appeal letters, event tables and thank-you cards. Scan the printed proof with a couple of phones first.

  4. 4

Repoint it when the campaign changes

A new appeal, a new giving platform or a finished fundraiser means changing the destination in the dashboard. The banner and the box stay as they are.

Where donation codes get used

Collection boxes and donation stands

The box is printed once and stays out for years. The page behind it can follow your current appeal.

Church and community bulletins

A code on the weekly sheet or the pew card, pointing at your giving page. When you change platform, the cards in the racks still work.

Banners and event signs

A walk, a bake sale or a gala. Reuse the same banner next year and point it at the new campaign page.

Appeal letters and thank-you cards

Print a few thousand letters once. If the link needs to move after they are posted, you can still move it.

Three things to check first

The page loads fast on mobile data

Someone scanning a banner outdoors has a weak signal. Test on your own phone away from Wi-Fi.

You know who owns the code

Create it under an account the organisation controls, not one volunteer’s personal email, so it outlives the person who set it up.

The printed proof scans

Scan the proof from the distance people will stand. Dark code, light background, blank margin all around.

Donation QR code questions

No. The code opens a web page. The donation is handled by the page you point it to, such as your giving platform or your own website. We do not process, hold or see donations.

Start with one code

Put it on one real collection box or flyer and watch the scans. Your first code is covered by a 30-day refund if you have not put it into use.
