Team Management
Create a team, invite colleagues, assign roles, and control who can view, edit, or administer your QR codes and account settings.
What Is a Team?
A team in Lifetime QR Codes is a shared workspace where multiple people can collaborate on the same QR codes, folders, analytics, and settings — without sharing login credentials. Each team member has their own login and is assigned a role that controls exactly what they can see and do.
Teams are ideal for marketing agencies managing QR campaigns for clients, enterprise departments where different staff need different access levels, or any business where more than one person needs to work with QR codes.
Creating a Team
- In the sidebar, click Team Management.
- If you have not created a team yet, click Create Team.
- Enter a Team Name (this is visible to members when they log in).
- Click Create. You are automatically assigned the Admin role for the team you create.
Your account can belong to multiple teams — useful if you manage separate workspaces for different clients or departments. Switch between teams using the team selector in the top navigation bar.
Inviting Members
- Go to Team Management in the sidebar.
- Click Invite Member.
- Enter the person's email address.
- Select a Role for them: Admin, Editor, or Viewer (see role details below).
- Optionally, restrict their access to specific Folders so they only see the QR codes relevant to their work.
- Click Send Invitation. The invitee receives an email with a link to join. If they do not already have a Lifetime QR Codes account, they will be prompted to create one for free.
Pending invitations are shown in the members list with a Pending badge. You can resend or cancel an invitation at any time.
Team Roles
Lifetime QR Codes has three built-in team roles. Choose the role that matches each person's responsibilities:
- Admin: Full access to everything in the team workspace. Admins can create, edit, and delete QR codes; manage folders and stores; invite and remove team members; change member roles; access billing; and modify account settings including branding, custom domains, and integrations. Only Admins can delete the team itself.
- Editor: Can create, edit, and delete QR codes and folders within the areas they have been granted access to. Editors can view full analytics. They cannot invite or remove team members, access billing, or change account-level settings.
- Viewer: Read-only access. Viewers can see QR codes and their analytics but cannot make any changes. This role is useful for clients, stakeholders, or executives who need visibility without the risk of accidental edits.
Removing a Member
- Go to Team Management.
- Find the member in the list and click the three-dot menu next to their name.
- Select Remove from Team.
- Confirm the removal. The member loses access to the team workspace immediately. Their own personal Lifetime QR Codes account (if they have one) is not affected.
You cannot remove yourself from a team if you are the only Admin. First promote another member to Admin, then remove yourself if needed.
Switching Between Teams
If you belong to multiple teams, you can switch between them without logging out:
- Click the team name shown in the top navigation bar.
- A dropdown lists all teams you belong to.
- Click any team to switch into that workspace instantly.
Each team is a completely separate workspace. QR codes, folders, analytics, and settings in one team are not visible in another — even if you are an Admin in both.
