Why Use Bulk Digital Business Cards?

Creating digital business card QR codes one at a time is practical for a handful of people, but it becomes tedious when you need to equip an entire sales team, department, or organization. The bulk creation tool lets you upload a single CSV file and have Lifetime QR Codes generate a personalized digital business card — and a matching QR code — for every person in the file simultaneously.

Each team member gets their own QR code that, when scanned, opens a digital contact card displaying their specific name, title, contact details, and company information. Scanners can save the contact directly to their phone with a single tap.

Preparing Your CSV File

The CSV file defines one person per row. The following columns are supported:

  • first_name — The person's first name (required).
  • last_name — The person's last name (required).
  • title — Job title or role (e.g., "Senior Account Executive").
  • email — Primary work email address.
  • phone — Direct phone number, including country code for international contacts.
  • company — Company or organization name.
  • website — Company or personal website URL.
  • linkedin — Full LinkedIn profile URL.
  • label — An internal name used to identify this QR code in your Lifetime QR Codes dashboard.

Columns that are not filled in for a specific row will simply not appear on that person's digital business card. The more data you include, the richer the contact card will be for scanners.

Uploading the CSV and Generating the Batch

  1. In your Lifetime QR Codes dashboard, click Create QR Code and select Bulk.
  2. Choose Digital Business Card as the QR code type for the batch.
  3. Upload your CSV using the file picker or drag it into the upload zone. Lifetime QR Codes will parse the file and display a column-mapping preview.
  4. Confirm that each CSV column is mapped to the correct field. If your column headers differ from the defaults, use the dropdown menus to assign them correctly.
  5. Choose a shared design for all cards in the batch — you can select a QR code color scheme, logo, and card theme that will be applied to every card in the batch. Individual cards can be customized further after generation.
  6. Click Generate Batch. Lifetime QR Codes will create one digital business card and one QR code per row.

Downloading the Batch

Once generation is complete, you can download all QR code images as a single ZIP archive. Each file in the ZIP is named using the label column from your CSV, or the person's full name if no label was provided, making it simple to distribute the correct image to each team member.

  • Choose PNG format for digital distribution (Slack, email, messaging apps) or SVG for print materials like physical business cards or lanyards.
  • The ZIP is organized with one file per person. File names follow the pattern FirstName_LastName.png (or .svg) unless a custom label was provided.
  • All generated QR codes also appear individually in My QR Codes so team admins can manage them from the dashboard.

Editing Individual Cards After Bulk Creation

Bulk creation sets the starting point for each card. After generation, every digital business card can be edited individually — no restrictions are placed on cards simply because they were created in a batch.

  • Navigate to My QR Codes and search or filter for the batch by name or tag.
  • Click Edit on any individual card to update that person's contact details, photo, social links, or design.
  • Changes to an individual card take effect immediately. The physical QR code image does not need to be reprinted — the dynamic code automatically reflects the updated contact information on the next scan.
  • If a team member leaves or changes roles, you can update their card's content or disable their QR code entirely from the dashboard, without affecting any other cards in the batch.

Organizing Bulk Business Cards in Your Dashboard

For teams with many QR codes, staying organized in the dashboard matters. After bulk creation:

  • Use folders to group all cards from a specific department, event, or location. For example: "Sales Team — Q2 2026" or "EMEA Region."
  • Apply tags to make filtering easy. Tags like "active," "sales," or "conference-2026" let you quickly find specific subsets of cards.
  • Use the bulk transfer tool to move all cards from a batch into a folder at once, rather than moving them one by one.

Good organization now saves significant time when you need to update, download, or analyze a specific team's cards later.
