How to Enable or Disable Global Template
The Global Template setting lets you lock your organization's QR code design to a single saved template. Once enabled, anyone creating a QR code in your account will only see your branded template — not the default design library.
The Global Template setting in Lifetime QR Code allows organizations to enforce brand consistency across all team members. When enabled, it replaces the standard design library with your pre-approved brand template.
Why Use Global Templates?
Brand Control
Prevent team members from using non-approved colors or styles.
Efficiency
Speed up the creation process by having the perfect design pre-selected.
How to Enable Global Template
Open Org Preferences
Click your avatar in the top-right and select Org Preferences.
Toggle Settings
Go to the General Settings tab. You will find two key toggles:
- • Enable Global Template: Applies your saved template globally.
- • Disable Default Template: Hides all non-brand designs from the editor.
Save Changes
Click "Save Changes" at the bottom of the page to apply the enforcement across your organization.
Note: You must have at least one saved template in your Templates dashboard before you can enable this feature.
The Editor Experience
Before Enabling
Users can see the full Lifetime QR Code design library and pick any style for their codes.
After Enabling
The 'Template' tab in the QR creator will only show your organization's approved brand template.
Common Questions
Can users override the global template?
If "Disable Default Template" is also checked, users will not be able to select other designs. They can still make minor tweaks in the 'Design' step unless permissions are further restricted.
How do I disable it?
Simply return to Org Preferences and toggle both "Enable Global Template" and "Disable Default Template" to OFF.
